With a recently elected school board and dramatic changes in administration, School District 161 showed significant improvement in all aspects- Academic Performance and finances.

At Homewood Flossmoor High Shcool, a number of members of Flossmoor’s Future participated in a two day 8 plus hours, strategy session to help the administration decide the best areas of focus going forward to maintain the school's excellent track record. Many of the ideas are beginning to be implemented including a TAX REFUND!

Numerous Flossmoor Future members attended a vital school board vote that determined that a $2M plus refund would be coming to property owners in the HF233 District. You should see those refunds in your next tax bill.

We also, of course, engaged HFHS in The Hidden Gem Half Marathon. Over 100 students participated in cheering, playing or aid station relief as well as producing a promotional video for us to use.
